Blogging About Blogs

If you love blogs, you’ll love the Commissar’s latest meme, the ‘Greatest Blog Post Ever Contest’.

My well’s dry at the moment, so why am I complaining? I love complaining- what’s your point?

Pretty soon we’ll have the 2005 Weblog Awards, and everyone will wrap the year up like the TV nets who replay ‘Best of 2005′ during the dead period from Christmas to after the college bowl games.

Maybe we can copy the movie industry and turn Shakespeare, Jane Austen, and Charles Dickens into blog posts.

AllahPundit was dead, to begin with. There is no doubt whatever about that. The register of his burial was signed by the ISP, the web host, the domain registrar, and the chief commenter. Ace signed it.

Old AllahPundit was as dead as a door-nail.

Mind! I don’t mean to say that I know, of my own knowledge, what there is particularly dead about a door-nail. I might have been inclined, myself, to regard a coffin-nail as the deadest piece of ironmongery in the trade.

Ace knew he was dead? Of course he did. How could it be otherwise? Ace and he were partners for I don’t know how many years. Ace was his sole executor, his sole administrator, his sole assign, his sole residuary legatee, his sole friend, and sole mourner.

‘I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future!’ Ace repeated, as he scrambled out of bed. ‘The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. Oh, Allah Pundit! Heaven, and the Christmas Time be praised for this! I say it on my knees, old Allah, on my knees!’

Of course, now I’m the biggest hypocrite of them all- blogging about blogs who themselves are blogging about blogs. It’s a meta-meme, if you will.

A new blogging paradigm that will revolutionize the media dominated by the lame-stream legacy folks. Down with Shepard Smith!!! Power to the people!

Top that, MSM!
